Life Drawing Wales – Safeguarding and Dignity Policy

1. Purpose

Life Drawing Wales is committed to ensuring the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of every person involved in its life drawing sessions. This policy sets out how we protect our life models and participants from harm, harassment, or inappropriate conduct.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all models, facilitators, organisers, artists, and participants involved in Life Drawing Wales sessions, both in-person and online.

3. Principles

Respect, Safety, Consent, and Accountability form the foundation of our safeguarding practices.

4. Roles and Responsibilities

• The Agency: Maintains and enforces this policy.
• Facilitators: Act as Designated Safeguarding Leads during sessions.
• Models: Have the right to refuse poses and report concerns.
• Participants: Must behave respectfully and refrain from photography or inappropriate conduct.

5. Health and Safety

All sessions will undergo a risk assessment and provide safe conditions, including private changing areas, breaks, and temperature control.

6. Inappropriate Behaviour

Zero tolerance toward sexual harassment, discrimination, or unauthorised photography. Offenders may be removed and barred from future events.

7. Reporting Concerns

Concerns should be reported to the Safeguarding Officer via lifedrawingwales@gmail.com. All reports will be handled confidentially.

8. Online and Remote Sessions

Models retain full control of their camera and participation. Screenshots or recordings are strictly prohibited.
